Projects reviewed included the following:Decision Support Systems for Prevention of Ochratoxins in Grapes and Wine - Wine-Ochra Risk (P. Battilani, Italy); Ochratoxin A - Risk Assessment: Developments in Toxicology of Ochratoxin (W. Dekant, Germany); Development of a Novel Test Kit forMycotoxins - Mycosens (N.Adanyi, Hungary); Breeding for Resistance to Fusarium Species and Their Toxins - Fucomyr (M. Lemmens, Austria); Prevention Strategies for FusariumMycotoxins in the Food Chain (N.Magan, United Kingdom); Summary of Key Application of Results From Ochratoxin a Prevention Project - OTA-Pre (M.Olsen, Sweden); Diagnostic Developments From the Detox-Fungi Project: Early Detection of Toxigenic Fusarium and Ochratoxigenic Fungi (A. Logrieco, Italy).

Data on the following topics were also provided: Fate of Ochratoxin During Wine Making; Developments in Lateral Flow Devices for OTA; the Inhibiting Action of Resveratrol for Mycotoxin Control; Detoxification of FusariumMycotoxins by Using Adsorbent Materials; Regulation of Ochratoxin A Biosynthetic Genes in Aspergillus and Penicillium Species - Detection of Ochratoxigenic Fungi; Detection and uantification of Aspergillus Ochraceus and Aspergillus Carbonarius; PCR Systems for Ochratoxin A Producing Penicillia - Their Use in Detection and in Analysis of Regulation of Ochratoxin A Biosynthesis; Quantitative Detection of Fusarium in Cereals; and Processing and the Fate of Fusarium Toxins.
