2005, Volume IX, Issue 1Symposia and ConferencesThe MYCOGLOBE launch conference was held in Brussels on October 22, 2004, following Mycotoxin Prevention Cluster Dissemination Day (see previous article). Scientists from around the world presented results from a number of ongoing research projects and programs focused on mycotoxins and toxigenic fungi, including EU-funded projects in support of developing countries and programs funded by international organizations such as the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO), the International Crops Research Institute for Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), and Centre dé cooperation internationale en recherche agronomique pour le développement (CIRAD).
