Future Symposia and Conferences

The International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry (IUPAC) has announced that the Twelfth International IUPAC Symposium on Mycotoxins and Phytotoxins will occur on May 21–25, 2007, in Istanbul, Turkey. The Scientific and Technical Research Center of Turkey –Ankara Test and Analysis Lab (TUBITAK-ATAL) will host the meeting.

Since 1973, IUPAC has convened twelve interdisciplinary meetings to foster discussions between chemists, mycotoxicologists, and other scientists and professionals on the latest developments in toxicology and mycotoxin risk assessment, health effects, and control strategies.

The 2007 meeting will feature specific case studies ofmycotoxin prevention and control strategies for commodities such as grains, coffee, dried fruit, and tree nuts. There will be a call for oral contributions in July 2006. The final program will be announced in March 2007.
