NOTE FROM THE EDITOR

This issue of the Mycotoxicology Newsletter marks the end of my tenure as editor. While I am stepping down to meet the increasing demands of my role as the Director of the Institute of Sciences of Food Production (ISPA) of the Italian National Research Council (CNR) and in the International Society of Mycotoxicology, the MycoRed project, and other international mycotoxin research projects, the focus and intent of the newsletter will remain unchanged.

Under the leadership of its new editor, my esteemed colleague, Dr. Michelangelo Pascale, the newsletter will continue to serve as an international forum for sharing information about the progress of mycotoxicology research and mycotoxin control efforts. A distinguished researcher at ISPA and author of numerous publications, Dr. Pascale brings extensive expertise in mycotoxicology and intense dedication to international food safety to this publication. I’m delighted to leave the newsletter in his highly capable hands.

In closing, I wish to extend my warmest thanks to the newsletter’s readers as well as to those who have contributed suggestions and newsworthy items over the years and to encourage their continued support for the Mycotoxicology Newsletter.
