At that meeting the Codex Committee on Contaminants in Food (CCCF) will consider the need for an acute reference dose for deoxynivalenol (DON) and review the latest data on global exposure to DON; its formation and prevalence in raw wheat and finished commodities during storage and processing, its acute and chronic toxicity and epidemiology, and suitable analytic methods of DON determination.
